Mill House Hotel Wedding

It was a glorious autumn day for Michele and James’ Mill House Hotel Wedding. We were really lucky to have beautiful bursts of golden sunshine to create gorgeous bronze hues, which framed their wedding photos perfectly.

I’ve known James for many years so it was a real honour to capture his wedding day to the lovely Michele – it’s always humbling to photograph the special day of someone you know as it’s a real endorsement of how skilled they think you are. It also comes with such great responsibility and so I’m delighted that the couple were pleased with the results.

James said:

“Absolutely fantastic job, Danny, which you did for Michele and I at our wedding. Thank you very much, we would recommend you to anyone.”

The Mill House is becoming one of my most photographed venues and it’s easy to see why couples like Michele and James pick it for their wedding. It has some lovely scenic backdrops and what I can only describe as a ‘rustic alleyway’ which gives such a natural, ambient environment for those all important couple shots – the photos I often refer to as ‘mantelpiece shots’. (I think all photographers have a burning ambition to have their work displayed on people’s mantelpieces!)

Michele and James had some fabulous touches incorporated in their wedding, I particularly liked the record-shaped table names and the fact that they used a Landrover to get from their church service at All Saint’s Church in Hampshire to the reception at The Mill House – I know that these are both personal touches.

I also liked how the colour scheme complemented the season too; burnt oranges and soft brown organza were just perfect for a November wedding day! Check out the photos below for some more wedding inspiration – including Michele’s elegant knee-length dress with beautiful lace details.

Congratulations to Michele and James!
